Description

The Fender Classic Series ’72 Telecaster Deluxe MN in Walnut finish is a vintage-inspired instrument with modern touches. It is a reissue of the original Telecaster Deluxe, a guitar introduced in 1972 and intended to be at the top of the Telecaster range. In the ’70s, an era when more guitarists were turning towards rock music, Fender hired Seth Lover (former Gibson-employee) to design a new humbucker for the Telecaster range to appeal to the rock music scene. The Classic Series ’72 Telecaster Deluxe is a reissue of this model and features the same "Wide Range" humbuckers for a full frequency response and a powerful sound. This guitar includes many aesthetic touches from the original ’70s model, including a "Bullet" truss rod, oversized scratch plate, large Stratocaster headstock, 3-bolt neck plate, and amp-style control knobs. With a resonant alder body and dual humbuckers (each with its own vol/tone controls), the ’72 Telecaster Deluxe is a versatile instrument that will perform well in many genres, and particularly well in rock music. It features a comfortable neck specification that will feel right at home for guitarists familiar with traditional single-cutaway, dual humbucker guitars. This Telecaster is a modern take on a classic instrument and is designed to inspire you with the pioneering spirit of the ’70s. It features classic aesthetics combined with modern playability and will perform well in whichever genre you choose.
